In-House Pharmacy The pharmacy at Good Shepherd Medical Center provides services and medications to hospital patients. Pharmacy staff work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments, in the hope of providing the best drug therapy possible. Our pharmacy staff provides routine monitoring of medication profiles, monitoring of all reported adverse drug reactions, monitoring of all reported medication errors, mixing of antibiotics and other small volume parenteral, mixing of total parenteral nutrition, dispensing of inpatient medications, and providing IV antibiotics and pain medications for home health care patients. Because of the hospital's not-for-profit status, the Pharmacy is not open to the public and may only sell pharmaceuticals to patients of the hospital, staff, and those closely affiliated with the hospital (i.e., auxiliary, students, physicians).
