Good Shepherd Physical Therapy 610 NW 11th
St...............................667-3657
The Physical Therapy department at Good Shepherd is open 8am
to 4pm, offering a large variety of therapies to the 80 to 100 patients
treated each day. "Some of our patients are seeing Portland doctors
who are amazed that we have such an outstanding facility in Eastern Oregon",
said therapist Moses Munar, co-director. "Their patients make great progress
here."
Newborns can receive physical therapy for congenital
defects and patients in their 90s can still repair neurological damage from
a stroke. A full range of burn therapy is offered. Total joint
rehabilitation and San Francisco spine stabilizations are common.

Dozens of pieces of workout tools and pieces of equipment
are available to address virtually every facet of the body. The department's
crown jewel is a $75,000 hydrotherapy pool that can almost work miracles,
receiving high praise from one woman who can't take a single step on dry
land, but transports herself a dozen feet through a pool of 90-degree water,
helping build strength and confidence. The 12-by-20-foot therapeutic pool is
a formidable rival for many other area programs which offer SwimJet water
therapy, pushing 500 gallons of water per minute.
