Healthy Communities Coalition
Good Shepherd has taken the lead in forming and providing ongoing support for the Health Communities Coalition. The mission of the Coalition is to work together to help community members adopt proactive healthy lifestyle choices and healthful nutrition. Our motto is “Making Healthy Choices the Easy Choices.”
The Coalition is made up of community partners including representatives from police, fire, schools, healthcare organizations, area businesses owners, community leaders, and volunteers. Areas of focus include: Workplace Wellness, Senior Health Issues, Children’s Health, Hispanic Outreach, and Safe Communities, a grant funded collaboration with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to work on traffic safety issues including bicycle, car seat, motorized wheelchairs, automobile, teen driver, and pedestrian concerns.
For additional information on the Coalition, contact Juli Gregory at (541) 667-3506.
