GSH 3DMammo_300x350A 3D mammogram is an X-ray image of the breast used to screen for breast cancer. Mammograms can find tumors that are too small for you or your doctor to feel, thus playing a major role in early breast cancer detection. Our 3D mammogram technology offers exceptionally sharp images to aid radiologists and your doctor in diagnosis, and a more ergonomic design making the exam more comfortable for you.

Using 3D mammogram technology we are able to:

  • Reduce false positives by up to 40 percent.
  • Detect 41 percent more invasive breast cancers.

We follow American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines for mammography and begin screening women at the age of 40. However, if you have a history of breast or other cancers in your family, have a lump, thickening of breast tissue, nipple discharge, or dimpling skin, please contact your doctor to schedule a diagnostic 3D mammography exam.

After your exam your doctor will be able to review the test results. For more information and to schedule a 3D mammogram please call 541.667.3520.
