Serving an area with more than 50,000 patients, Hermiston itself has a population of over 16,000. Good Shepherd recently remodeled and expanded our services to include a new state of the art Diagnostic Imaging Center, Emergency Department, Cardiopulmonary Rehab Center, and a newly completed Women's Health Center.
We were also selected as one of the TOP 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States by the NRHA (National Rural Hospital Association)!

With three new schools in the community, our district is well funded and focused on educational success. Hermiston also offers two parochial schools (Hermiston Junior Academy and Hermiston Christian School).

There are numerous community events and locally sponsored-activities that include a large county fair and rodeo, an annual Lavender Festival, Farmers Market, Wine & Cheese Festival, Family Health & Fitness Day and so on.
