Completed and opened the 33,000 square 
foot North Wing Expansion of the Good 
Shepherd Medical Plaza and opened the 
brand new state-of-the-art 11,000 square foot 
Women’s Center in March 2018.

• 

Launched the Personal Home Care service 
which provides in-home care services in the 
comfort of the clients own home. Services 
include personal care, medication assistance, 
housekeeping, and medical appointment 
assistance.

• 

Launched Chiropractic Medicine service as 
one piece closer to having a fully functioning 
pain management program.

• 

The Family Birth Center was recently 
recognized by the National Safe Sleep 
Certification Program as a Silver Safe Sleep 
Leader, for their commitment to best practices 
and education on infant safe sleep. They are 
one of the first hospitals in Oregon to receive 
the title.

• 

Opened a beautiful new Urology Suite in the 
Good Shepherd Medical Group building. This 
new space is also capable of supporting two 
urologists.

• 

Remodeled our Home Medical Equipment 
retail outlet space allowing for an expanded 
showroom and new services.

• 

Launched Home Respiratory Care Services out 
of our Home Medical Equipment department. 

Achievements

This program reduces 30-day readmission 
rates for Respiratory/COPD patients and 
improves patients quality of life and outcomes.

Successfully recruited new physicians and 
key mid-levels to the community. (See Good 
Medicine Section of this report)

Successfully received DNV-GL accreditation 
with full NIAHO accreditation and three-year 
ISO compliance approval.

• 

In February 2018, our President & CEO Dennis 
E. Burke was recognized as one of “50 Rural 
Hospital CEOs to Know in 2018.” In addition, 
Mr. Burke received Administrator of the 
Year award at the 2018 Healthcare Service 
Excellence Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

• 

We received 39 Awards at the Healthcare 
Service Excellence Conference in San Antonio, 
Texas for our significant improvements in 
our Consumer Assessment of Healthcare 
Providers and Systems surveys for (CAHPS®) 
Hospital, Emergency Room, Outpatient 
Surgery, and Home Health. Four employees 
were nominated for Summit Awards at the 
Healthcare Service Excellence Conference:
