Installed two new digital x-ray rooms to
improve the service and quality of x-ray
images.
•
Added new Vitech II system for ID and
sensitivity testing in microbiology and a new
Back T system for blood culture monitoring,
to improve speed and accuracy in analyzing
cultures. In addition, we expanded lab services
to six days per week at our Urgent Care
location.

Speech Therapy services increased volume by
30 percent over the previous fiscal year, with
one additional therapist.
•
We expanded our Certified Diabetes
Educators to three, and implemented a new
community education program; Achieve
Conquer Thrive or ACT to encourage
participants to live a healthier lifestyle.

Implemented a Fast Track ER for patients
experience low acuity level conditions (cold,
flu, cough, minor cuts, sprains, etc.) who seek
care in the ER.
•
Expanded our CareVan program to three vans
with a combination of volunteer and paid
drivers to meet the transportation needs to
medical appointments of our community.
•
Partnered with Legacy Health to provide
Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Cardiology services
to GSHCS patients.
•
Partnering with community organizations
to conduct a Community Health Needs
Assessment to monitor healthcare disparities
and community trends.
•
Increased the presence of Virtual Care Services
in our community for individuals suffering from
low acuity conditions to see a board-certified
physician or nurse practitioner 24/7 365 from
their smartphone, computer, or phone.
•
Provided Critical Incident Peer Support Training
to prepare participants for a wide range of crisis
intervention services for both individuals and for
groups. 19 GSHCS employees were trained.
•
Auxiliary of Volunteers awarded $10,000 of
scholarships to five students pursuing medical
education.
