classes including prenatal nutrition
and pre-diabetes classes.
•Speech and Language Pathology
has one Speech Language
Pathologist now trained in
tracheostomy and ventilator care.
•A Fiber Optic Endoscopic
Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) has
been ordered in our Speech and
Language Pathology Department
which will significantly reduce wait
times for adults who need a swallow
study.
•Our IT Department completed
builds for Oncology, Treatment
Center complex referrals,
Emergency Department and
Occupational Therapy.
•Human Resources successfully
responded to the vaccine mandate
with reviews and effective staff
communication ensure all staff were
compliant by the Oct 18 deadline,
ensuring less than 1% of staffing was
affected by the mandate.
•Human Resources provided
executive sponsorship and
development of onsite counseling
services for staff.
•Human Resources implemented
leadership Development coaching
program (Blue EQ and Eastern
Oregon Business Source) for
frontline managers.
•Human Resources work with Service
Excellence Team to revitalize new

•The Service Excellence Initiative
Improvement Funding program was
created to encourage employees
to eliminate waste and customer
dissatisfiers by developing their own
quality improvement projects. Four
applications were submitted and
approved. Created and distributed
over 250 Covid Care Kits to
patients through the Emergency
Department, Urgent Care, and
Clinics. The kits include a pulse
oximeter, thermometer, mask, and a
symptom tracking form.
•Quality Department assisted
inpatient units with the purchase of
tablets for patient use during limited
or no visitation time periods due to
COVID precautions.
•Quality Management team met
with 34 managers/departments
to review/support ongoing
improvement work, identify
reporting needs, help with data
collection, and support patient
satisfaction initiatives.
•Our Finance Division has done well
in responding to the COVID crises
in a couple of areas. One is the
effort by our Materials Management
team to keep up with the demand
for Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE). The second area was the
grants we applied for and received.
•Transitioned Coding, Billing, and
scheduling positions to remote
status to improve recruitment
opportunities and free up
organizational space.
•Improved employee engagement
and retention through creation of
career pathway opportunities and
updated job positions.
•Realigned Revenue Cycle
Departments to improve throughput
and achieve net budgeted Full-Time
Employee (FTE) savings.
•We have started moving dirt for
building a new 26-unit housing
project.
•Hosted 9 GoodHealth Radio Shows
introducing new services, healthcare
providers and important educational
information (including COVID
updates) to our community.
•Distributed 16 press releases to
media outlets throughout the region.
All were picked up by local news
outlets (print, digital & radio), as well
as some in Portland, Bend, Tri-Cities.
•Increased growth and interaction on
social media networks to help
communicate with and educate
community members in our service

13,692 in-home visits.
