Great Catch Awards

The GSHCS Great Catch award is presented to staff members who demonstrate their commitment to safety 
by speaking up to prevent potential harm to a patient or fellow employee. The goal is to highlight the power of 
an individual’s ability to promote a culture of quality and safety. Awardees are selected on a quarterly basis in 
recognition of their efforts.

100th Percentile in Patient Satisfaction 

In December 2022, GSHCS Emergency Department 
Earned 100th Percentile in Patient Callback &  
Satisfaction Report. 

5-Star Rating! 

According to the most recent Consumer Assessment 
of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Hospice 
Survey results, Vange John Memorial Hospice scored well 
above the state and national averages in every category, 
earning five stars. The family caregiver survey asks family 
members or friends about the patient’s hospice care, and 
if they would recommend that hospice to someone else. 
The survey ratings can be used to compare hospices 
using a 5-star scale, with more stars indicating better 
quality care. Congratulations to our entire Hospice team 
and the departments that work closely with them!
