• Started 2 new programs with Hermiston High School:
 — Teen Mental Health Outreach: A weekly group 

counseling session with ConneXions’ certified Peer 
Wellness Specialist and HHS’s staff Clinical Social Work 
Associate (CSWA), in partnership with CCS.

 — Approximately 20 teens participated in this program the 

first year, with the vast majority reporting an increase in 
mental well-being.

 — Teen Lunchtime Support: A Community Health Worker 

is now present during school lunches at least 1 day per 
week to provide teen support on a variety of topics.

CareVan Medical Transportation Services:

• Number of free rides provided: 7,738
• Number of CareVan volunteer driver hours: 4,601
• Performed over 1,300 medication deliveries. 

Community Health & Outreach staff at Good Shepherd’s 

Family Health & Fitness Day at Hermiston High School. The 

event was a smashing success with over 600 attendees, 57 

vendors, and several new activities, services, and resources 

shared with our community.

Good Shepherd staff and volunteers participated in the 

Umatilla County Fair Parade and Umatilla Landing Days 

Parade, giving out first aid kits and hand sanitizer to 

community members.

Volunteer Efforts and Student Experiences:

• Over 50 active Good Shepherd volunteers serving in a 

variety of departments/areas.

• Good Shepherd’s Auxiliary awarded 5 scholarships to 

community members for a total amount of $10,000.

• Created and launched Good Shepherd’s Student 

Experiences program to offer both guest speakers at local 
high schools and on-site non-clinical job shadow rotations. 

• Over 20 guest speakers from a variety of Good Shepherd 

departments scheduled at a local high school.

• 10 students completed the first job shadow rotation, 

consisting of rotating through up to 8 different Good 
Shepherd departments per semester.
