Supporting Our

Healthcare Workers

TAKING CARE OF OUR STAFF,

SO THAT THEY CAN TAKE CARE OF OUR PATIENTS

U.S. Best in Class Employer

Good Shepherd was recently
recognized as a U.S. Best-in-Class
Employer after participating in
Gallagher’s 2022 U.S. Benefits
Strategy and Benchmarking
Survey. Our healthcare system
was awarded this designation for

excelling in optimizing employee and
organizational well-being. We earned
it by providing meaningful benefits
and support to our Good Shepherd
team including a comprehensive
framework for strategically investing
in benefits, compensation, and
employee communication to
support the health, financial security
and career growth of our employees.

Part of the GSHCS benefits package
includes mortgage discounts,
employer-paid life insurance, phone
stipends, pharmacy discounts, and
pet insurance. An employer-paid
Employee Assistance Program
(EAP) is a highlighted benefit which
provides free financial counseling,
mental health counseling, crisis
assistance, grief and loss support,
legal counseling and more.

We are proud to take care of our
employees while they grow their
careers with us as we aim to be
the Employer of Choice in the
communities we serve.

Employee Well-Being

Improvement Project

At Good Shepherd, education
opportunities and well-being
support of our workforce is one
of our highest priorities. To build a
high-quality healthcare system, you
must invest in your most important
asset, and that is our staff. In May
2023, GSHCS was chosen as a
recipient of the Oregon Center for

GSHCS staff posing with Gallagher

representatives to accept Good

Shepherd’s U.S. Best in Class

Employer award.
