The Annual Report is an

opportunity to highlight and

share the tremendous growth

and remarkable achievements

of Good Shepherd Health Care

System (GSHCS) over the past

year with our staff, patients,

and communities. This past

year has been nothing short
of extraordinary, marked by

significant growth, innovation, and transformation.
These achievements reflect the unwavering dedication
of the Board of Trustees, Executive Team, Medical
Staff, and employees. Together they support our
mission to provide compassionate and exceptional
care close to home that meets the needs of our
growing community.

It has been an honor to again serve as Board Chair this
past year, a role that allows me to witness firsthand
the profound impact we have on our community.
As representatives of the communities in Umatilla
and Morrow Counties, the Good Shepherd Board
of Trustees has a fiduciary responsibility to ensure
that this organization gives back to the communities
we serve and adheres to the highest standards of
healthcare excellence.

We are dedicated to helping our 1,700+ team
members excel in the important work they do every
day. Part of that support includes 100% employer-paid

Medical, Dental and Vision premiums for employees &
their families in addition to subsidized onsite childcare,
tuition reimbursement, and many fun local activities
outside of work. It is exciting and inspiring to witness
how our positive workplace culture is helping to drive
our significant growth.

We strive to stand at the forefront of community
benefit initiatives that contribute to improved health
outcomes throughout the region. This past year,
our organization gave $7,828,571 worth of free or
discounted care. Last year we also provided 7,421 free
patient rides and 2,390 free prescription deliveries.
Additionally, 286 free health classes and events were
offered to the community, including the annual Family
Health & Fitness Day event which had more than
600 attendees. Our Community Health Foundation,
awarded $276,000 in grants to local organizations
and $86,500 in scholarships to high school graduates,
college students and medical professionals seeking
additional medical training.

Our future continues to be bright and strategically
well-positioned for sustained growth. On behalf
of the Board of Trustees and the communities we
represent, I want to express my deepest gratitude to
our exceptional medical staff, dedicated employees
and volunteers who provide compassionate,
patient-centered care to our patients. Their
outstanding contributions have made this
another successful year.
