New infrastructure this year included the addition of
a Life Flight Network Transport Base right here on
campus which is set for completion soon. We also
expanded our onsite Children’s Center from 6,000 to
15,000 square feet, adding much-needed childcare
availability for many more of our employees. Good
Shepherd also purchased 61 acres of land on Main
Street in Boardman, OR, for a future healthcare facility,
bringing care closer to home for Boardman and
surrounding communities.
Partnerships are vital to our mission and this year
we teamed up with the City of Hermiston to bring
the Good Shepherd Pickleball Complex to Eastern
Oregon to promote healthy lifestyles for all ages. We
also partnered with the Hermiston Police Department
to provide 24/7 Good Shepherd police coverage on
our main campus, increasing the safety of patients
and staff.
Our Annual Report showcases a continued positive
operating margin and a robust financial outlook,
as we look ahead to a thriving future for Good
Shepherd Health Care System. I want to thank our
supportive Board of Trustees, our Executive Team, our
Medical Staff, Department Heads, and our dedicated
employees and volunteers for making Good Shepherd
Health Care System one of the finest healthcare
organizations in the region and country! And especially
to our patients who choose us for their healthcare—
thank you for trusting us with your care.
