Good Shepherd Health Care System invites our communities to come together in remembrance at the Community Memorial Service & Live Butterfly Release on Saturday, September 12, from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at Bennett Botanical Gardens in Hermiston. Presented by Good Shepherd’s Vange John Memorial Hospice team, this special event offers families and friends an opportunity to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. The afternoon will feature a memorial service and live butterfly release, live entertainment, complimentary charcuterie and heavy hors d’oeuvres by Castle Event Catering, a silent auction featuring butterfly-themed artwork from Pacific Northwest artists and vendors, and family-friendly activities including face painting, butterfly crafts, kites, capes and headbands.
Guests may pre-register to release a live butterfly in memory of a loved one with a donation of $15 or more per butterfly. Butterfly-themed gifts will also be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting Good Shepherd’s Vange John Memorial Hospice and supporting bereavement services, resources and care for Hospice families.
