When you are pregnant, you want a caring and compassionate obstetrics doctor that has your personal needs and the needs of your baby in mind. Our obstetricians at Good Shepherd Women’s Center in Hermiston are highly skilled in meeting your pregnancy care needs and making sure your birthing experience lives up to your expectations. We work with you to develop an individualized prenatal care plan taking into consideration your values and beliefs.
First Trimester
During the first trimester your body will undergo many changes. Our job during this period is to make sure that your health and the health of your baby is at an optimum level. We will schedule routine exams and screenings to make sure that your body and your baby are adapting well to your pregnancy.
Second Trimester
At this time your baby has grown rapidly and you are beginning to show physical signs of pregnancy. During this period your OB/GYN may request a 3D ultrasound, giving you an opportunity to see a glimpse of your baby in their current environment. This is also a time to address your concerns and share how you are feeling – this will allow your obstetrician to make sure that what you are experiencing is normal.
Third Trimester
You are nearing the completion of your pregnancy. Undoubtedly you are probably feeling your baby moving – stretching, kicking, and hiccupping. Our goal during this time is to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. At this time we will be able to set a more specific delivery date. If you are not feeling well – sick, and nauseated – please let us know as soon as possible. Additional blood tests may be requested by us to make sure that you are not experiencing anything out of the ordinary.
