• Babysitting Basics 101

    For babysitters ages 10-15. Learn childcare techniques, children’s developmental stages and what to expect, basic first aid and infant and child CPR. Choose any one of the following classes:

  • TAI CHI – Moving For Better Balance

    FREE classes to work on balance, strengthen muscles, improve posture and core strength and reduce stress–great class for beginners, seniors or those with impaired mobility! 12 week sessions. Class size limited to 15 and class is closed to new participants after week 3.

  • Gentle Yoga

    You don’t have to be familiar with yoga to enjoy this FREE class. You will learn easy yoga postures; working on better breathing techniques and muscle groups.

  • Parkinson’s Disease Support Group

    Support group for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their loved ones! Peer-led group will help you learn about the disease, exchange information, give and receive mutual support, and talk about coping skills.

    A fun and interactive class for the mind-body system that improves balance, movement, and strengthens body control. We use the Bal-A-Vis-X approach for an enjoyable and safe exercise routine proven to help all ages and fitness levels. Class is FREE. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

  • Steps To Success 5K Fun Run and Walk

    Join us for the Steps to Success 5K Fun Run and Walk on Saturday, June 3, at 8:00 AM at River Front Park in Hermiston. This is a family friendly event!

    Participants get bottled water, a piece of fruit, granola/cereal bar AND a lunch for only $15! 

    Proceeds from this event will go to support the Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation which supports organizations and causes that will promote the health and well being of our community by providing grants to worthy projects and scholarships to local residents seeking to start or continue education leading to a healthcare-related career.

    This event is organized in part by the nurses of Good Shepherd Health Care System and the Good Shepherd Health Care System Wellness Committee.
