CMS requires hospitals to make pricing information available in two formats. Second, CMS requires hospitals to provide a downloadable Machine Readable File (MRF), which is available on our Pricing Transparency webpage located here: https://www.gshealth.org/price-transparency.
Since the Hospital Price Transparency requirements took effect in 2021, hospitals across the country have invested countless staff hours and substantial resources in adhering to the provisions and remain committed to ensuring they meet the regulatory requirements even as they have been continually modified since implementation.
Recently, Good Shepherd Health Care System was notified of an issue related to the accessibility of the Machine Readable File on our website. Upon becoming aware of the issue, the correct linked file format was immediately uploaded to restore full compliance with CMS guidelines. Throughout this period, our user-friendly display of shoppable services and pricing information remained active and accessible to the public.
