Good Shepherd to Hold COVID-19 Mass Vaccine Events
HERMISTON, OR – Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is offering free COVID vaccines, including initial series (1st & 2nd) and booster (3rd) doses, on the following days at 610 NW 11th Street in Hermiston. No appointment is needed and community members should bring their vaccination cards with them if applicable.

Good Shepherd has the Moderna vaccine (authorized for those 18 and older) and the Pfizer vaccine (authorized for those 12 and older) as well as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (authorized for those 18 and older). For ages 12 to 14 a parent or guardian must be present. In accordance with Oregon Law, patients age 15 and above can self-consent for the vaccine. Good Shepherd is not providing the Pfizer vaccine for 5-11 year olds at these clinics.
Individuals receiving a vaccine should be prepared for 15 minutes of required monitoring after vaccine administration. Community members may call and leave a message on Good Shepherd’s COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline at 541.667.3426 if they have any questions about vaccinations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Pfizer & Moderna Booster (3rd dose):
- Moderate to Severe Immunocompromised (must be 28 days from initial series)
- e. – Active treatment for solid tumor and hematologic malignancies, Solid – organ transplant and taking immunosuppressive therapy, Stem Cell Transplant, Moderate/Severe Immunodeficiency, Advanced/Untreated HIV infection, or Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids.
- 65 years and older (must be 6 months or more after initial series)
- Age 18 and older with the following (must be 6 months or more after initial series)
- Long Term Care Settings
- Underlying Medical Conditions
- e. – Cancer, Chronic Kidney/Liver/Lung Disease, Dementia, Diabetes, Down syndrome, Heart Conditions, HIV Infection, Immunocompromised State, Mental Health Conditions, Overweight/Obesity, Pregnancy, Sickle cell disease or thalassemia, Smoking (current or former), Solid Organ or Blood Stem Cell Transplant, Stroke or Cerebrovascular disease, Substance use, or Tuberculosis.
- High – Risk Settings
- e. – First responder, education staff, food and agriculture workers, manufacturing workers, corrections workers, US Postal service workers, Public transit workers, or grocery store workers.
Johnson & Johnson Booster (2nd dose):
- Age 18 and older (must be 2 months after initial dose)
